What is Atlantic immigration program

The Atlantic Immigration Program is a pathway to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers and international graduates from a Canadian institution who want to work and live in 1 of Canada's 4 Atlantic provinces—New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island or Newfoundland and Labrador.

How to apply for permanent residence in Canada from outside Canada

You can apply for permanent residence in Canada through the application process of Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) & Atlantic immigration program or student visa. IRCC continues to accept applications from people who live outside Canada.

What is express entry?

Express Entry is an online system used by the Canadian government to organize and process applications and provides a pathway to permanent residence for skilled workers in Canada. An Invitation to Apply for permanent residence will be based on your score and rank in the Express Entry pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System. The main factors considered are age, educational level, proficiency in English or French, and work experience in Canada.

Is Ielts required for Canada PR?

If you’re applying for a Canada PR visa through express entry program, the required (minimum) IELTS score for Canada PR Express entry should be 6 per band in IELTS that translates to CLB level 7. You need to achieve this point if you want to apply for Canada Permanent Residency through the express entry program.
